A Six-Year Snapshot of Recognition

Aquarius Pools has operated since 1979, so the 2012 to 2017 stretch covers only part of its history. Nevertheless, the period holds some of its most visible wins. Specifically, the company won Victorian Pool of the Year in 2012 and again in 2016. Moreover, the 2016 result extended to the national stage.

2012: Victorian and National Success

The 2012 SPASA Victoria Awards gave the company its headline win of the period. It took the Remco Pool of the Year title. In addition, it won gold for Best Commercial Pool and for Best Residential Pool, Spa and Landscape Combination. Furthermore, it earned a Highly Commended placing for Best Natural Pool.

The company also succeeded nationally that year. SPASA Australia gave it gold for Best Commercial Pool over $250,000 and for the sustainable pool category. As a result, the 2012 season showed both commercial and environmental strengths. Indeed, the sustainable pool category rewards environmental thinking in pool design.

2013 and 2014: Steady Gold and Highly Commended Placings

A public business listing for Aquarius Pools records gold awards in 2013 and 2014. The same listing shows Highly Commended placings in both years. Specifically, the 2013 placings covered Best Residential Concrete Pool and Best Residential Concrete Lap Pool. However, the listing does not name the gold categories for those years.

National timing needs a note. SPASA Australia presented its 2013 national awards at its first gala on the Gold Coast. Subsequently, it announced the 2014 winners in December 2014 to align with the state calendar. Consequently, dates for national results can differ from the year of the entry.

2015: A Year Without a Listed Win

Public listings do not show an Aquarius Pools award for 2015. Out from the Blue took the SPASA Victoria Pool of the Year that year at a gala in the Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne. However, the quiet year did not stop the company from returning strongly in 2016. In other words, a single gap sits between two very active stretches.
