Internet Marketing – Where Do You Start?
So you want to go into internet marketing?
You’ve heard that the internet is the place to be; the place to earn real money; the place to get everything in life you really want. Maybe, you’ve already tried launching a business online – or at least invested in a course or two on internet marketing.
So how do you start to earn money? What one thing do you need to find to get your business off to a flying start? Do you need to come up with a product? A product everyone in the world needs but just don’t know it, yet?
The short answer is ‘No’. No matter how good your product is, no matter how brilliant the idea, you will just be guessing. What you need to find is a market. A hungry market full of people with a need that is not currently being satisfied. Find out what people want – and give it to them. It really is as simple as that.
Let the market tell you what to provide. Don’t try to do it the other way round by devising a product and then telling the market why they need it. For one thing, there’s more of them than there is of you and therefore, the chances are, they’ll get it right! And it’s always easier to sell someone something they know they want than something you’re convinced they need.
So, how do you find a hungry market? Well, there’s a little work to be done here, but believe us when we say this is not half as much hard work as coming up with an idea for a product then convincing people to buy it. There are several methods; at least one will be right for your but you may want to adopt two or more. We propose to begin to explore them in our next article; in the meantime, remember – it’s not about the product, it’s about the market.
